A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team remotely, with occasional in-person requirements in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves managing Residential Portfolio Management matters, including eviction, code enforcement, and small claims cases.

Duties

  • Prepare, review, and approve eviction-related pleadings.
  • Handle all aspects of eviction, code enforcement, and small claims matters, including contested cases.
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic and in-person hearings.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and provide updates.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate.
  • 3-5 years of experience with eviction-related pleadings.
  • Member in good standing of the North Carolina and South Carolina Bar Associations.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional client service skills.
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills.
