job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssist in reviewing each departmental emergency plan for completeness and assist department leaders requiring assistance with developing or updating their department plan. There is a possibility that the organization will be providing staff education on Hospital Incident Assist in assessing hazardous materials supply room and ensure inventory of supplies is adequate to respond to hazmat incident Participate in weekly Main Accumulation Area (MAA) inspections Participate in hospital pharmaceutical hazardous waste collection and disposal program as needed.
Environmental Safety / Emergency Management Intern
The intern will assist the Environmental Safety / Emergency Management Team with activities including :
Emergency Preparedness
- Assist in collecting, tracking and reviewing department plans reviewed annually
- Assist in establishing inventory of emergency equipment supply room and assure adequate supplies, identify needs to replace expired supplies.
- Assessment of equipment in new Incident Command Center storage
- Participate in Region 5 Consortium activities and exercises
Training
Command and Hazardous Materials Response. This intern may have opportunity to assist with that training.
