Location : Surgery Center - 800 Medical Center Drive ~ Newton, KS 67114

Are you a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant looking to grow your career in a fast-paced and specialized setting? At NMC Health, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care-especially in the field of orthopedics.

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join our Orthopedic team . In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering clinical support to providers and ensuring high-quality care for patients across a variety of orthopedic services.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Assisting with procedures and supporting providers during patient exams.
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs (VS).
  • Scheduling procedures and preparing charts for appointments.
  • Educating patients on orthopedic care and post-procedure instructions.
  • Managing patient triage and updating electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Preparing exam rooms and ensuring a clean, organized clinical environment.

This position is ideal for someone experienced in orthopedic care and passionate about providing knowledgeable, compassionate support to patients and providers alike.

Shifts Available :

Full Time : 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Part Time : 1pm-5pm Monday-Thursday

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

  • Successful completion of an RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) program required.
  • Experience :

  • Previous experience required , preferably in orthopedics or a specialty clinical setting.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and workflows.
  • Proficiency in vital sign measurement, patient triage, and electronic charting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a busy, team-based environment.
  • Licensure, Registration, or Certification :

  • Must hold a current RMA or CMA license .
