• Overview Of The Company

Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full-power broadcast television stations across the U.S., including in 14 of the top 15 DMAs, with duopolies in 11 DMAs, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Eighteen stations are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly and distribute various content including sports and entertainment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Write clear, concise copy with correct grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.

Ensure all stories are written accurately and submitted on time.

Select videos and soundbites; write accompanying copy.

Proofread broadcast and digital content.

Stay updated on story developments and provide relevant updates.

Create graphics, including maps, for stories.

Gather information proactively to complete stories.

Collaborate with field teams for story management and support.

Build relationships with news management and newsroom staff to improve content and newscast production.

Organize, write, and edit stories for newscasts, digital, and social media platforms as directed by Producers or the Executive Producer.

The pay rate / range for this role is $19.00-$21.00 per hour, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical / dental / vision insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits as per plan documents. Union employees’ benefits are governed by collective bargaining agreements.
