Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform Nuclear Med / CT exams, PET exams, and all other related duties.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Performs exams following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials
- Prepares and injects radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Processes diagnostic imaging procedures and records radiopharmaceutical administration to patients
- Receives and records appropriate information regarding receipt of radioactive material and pharmaceuticals
- Requests and coordinates all necessary patient information including medical chart and charges
- Prepares contrast media
- Ensures equipment is in working order; Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor
- Logs radiologic procedures completed; Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed
- Maintains examination rooms; Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies
- Performs quality assurance procedures on the equipment
- Maintains strictest confidentiality
- Other projects / responsibilities as may be assigned periodically by direct supervisor
Education and Training :
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program and / or Bachelor's degree in relevant fieldOpportunity to cross-training to CTExperience :
