JOB FUNCTION : Assemble and test new scales, repair scales that are sent from customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Assembles and tests scales to be shipped to customersLoads and unloads palletsShips orders to customersPerforms data entry into ERP systemUses hand and power tools to work on and repair scalesAssists sales and engineering personnel during customer demonstrationsAnswers phone calls to help troubleshoot customer problems. Fill out Return Authorization form and complete for repair or warranty. Keep the database of repairsRepairs damaged scales sent back from customersQUALIFICATIONS :
High school diploma requiredAbility to read and understand technical manualsAbility to follow technical instructions and guide customers through steps over the phoneAbility to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basisAbility to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely mannerFlexible with a willingness to assist where neededWillingness to learn from constructive feedbackAbility to work independently or in a groupPHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing duties of this job, employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Technician must also be able lift 50 lb. Must be able to use standard hand tools. Climb ladders, height tolerance (not afraid of heights).
