Position Summary

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo, Nestlé Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets. We also proudly do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives.

As a Designer, you will be responsible for utilizing software and other design tools to support the factory engineering program. You will prepare conceptual 2D / 3D drawings, designs and details for further project development. Maintaining an up-to-date archive of factory and equipment design is also a key function.

THIS POSITION IS EXCLUSIVELY BASED AT OUR CRETE FACILITY

• Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Electrical / Controls Team to design schematics, process flow diagrams and equipment layouts.
• Interpret technical documents with Engineering assistance, and relay relevant information through drawings and detailed instructions to contractors.
• Investigate plant floor details to develop preliminary and conceptual drawings.
• Maintain and organize drawings and other key documentation for all buildings and equipment in AS-BUILT condition, utilizing AutoDesk Vault. Drawings may be locally produced, provided by corporate engineering, design firms or equipment vendors.
• Generate and pursue innovative solutions to engineering problems.

The approximate pay range for this position is $71,000 to $101,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Incentives and / or benefit packages may vary depending on the position.
