Description : POSITION PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of this position is to transform the construction warehouse into an efficient supply distribution center. This role will also oversee construction special event planning & execution (Frame Ups, etc.) and provide on-site volunteer leadership and project support in accordance with HFHDC goals and practices. This includes ensuring the safety of everyone on site, regardless of their status as a volunteer, contractor, employee or other, as well as meeting deadlines and budgets.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee Construction Warehouse Operations
- Design and organize the warehouse space to meet the needs of the Construction team
- Serve as the primary contact to receive, organize and inventory GIK and bulk material deliveries
- Standardize takeoffs to develop material / tool / supply kits for all phases of construction; deploy kits in a timely manner, per project schedules
- Create a standardized tool trailer supply list & layout and ensure new build sites are fully equipped throughout all phases of construction
- Develop and maintain Home Repair and Warranty toolkits & supply checklists
- Supervise volunteers in the replenishment, restocking and delivery of tools and supplies
- Oversee the upkeep, repair and replacement of tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Coordinate snow removal, lawn maintenance, and erosion control for all HFHDC-owned worksites, active and future
Event Planning & Execution
Coordinate logistics for off-site events including site visits and event layout, supply checklist fulfillment, wall pick-up and delivery, and event set-up & take-downServe as the primary volunteer supervisor for off-site construction eventsDevelop, refine, and document plate layouts for all house plansConstruct Homes Safely and Efficiently
Ensure HFHDC sites meet all safety & building regulations and work complies with company policies; communicate and enforce with volunteers, subcontractors and other personnelProvide regular support for construction, home repair or warranty projects to meet organizational targetsBe accountable to the construction schedule; identify materials and personnel needed to meet construction targets. Must plan for maximum use of available skills and resourcesCommunicate effectively with clients, subcontractors / vendors, Construction Manager, and HFHDC team members to update project progress, address concerns, and maintain positive working relationshipsTrain, mentor and motivate volunteer house leaders to maximize productivity and efficiencyEffectively engage and supervise skilled and unskilled labor in all facets of home construction; play an active role in recruitment and retention of key construction volunteersMaintain a clean, organized worksite, including storage and trash receptacles; monitor erosion control and protect homeowner property from damageProvide input regarding cost-effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly home designs and building practicesOther duties as assignedSchedule and Benefit :

Minimum 1-2 years of residential construction experience, including familiarity with construction terms, broad knowledge of all phases of residential construction, and the ability to read blueprints / house plansUnderstand and appreciate the mission of HFHDC and willing to actively support the growth and advancement of the organizationMust be able to determine the appropriate tools / equipment for various construction tasks and utilize them according to safety guidelinesCommunicate effectively and deal tactfully with all kinds of individuals yet remain consistent in keeping a professional demeanorPossess the ability and patience to engage and supervise skilled and unskilled laborers in all facets of home constructionDemonstrate excellent organizational skills and possess a strong attention to detailComfort speaking in front of small groupsTimeliness, dependability and an ability to work unsupervised are critical for this positionShare our organizational values of working hard, valuing teamwork and being accountable, with professionalism and integrityProficient and successful use of various technical programs for business / construction purposes including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications (including Teams) and Asana / Buildertrend / other build softwarePhysicial Demands :
Required to lift 60-80 pounds on a regular basis and will experience frequent bending, squatting, lifting and repetitive motion. Must be capable of climbing ladders & scaffolds and working from heights. This position will be working outside year-round and must be adaptable to extreme changes in weather (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.) and able to navigate uneven terrain.Experience :
