Description : Position Overview :
The Fiscal Intermediary works closely with OPWDD-eligible individuals and their families to provide quality assurance and administrative support related to Self-Direction services. Additionally, the Fiscal Intermediary works collaboratively with the Self-Direction services team to ensure that a high-quality, person-centered program is provided to all individuals.
Requirements :
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following :
- Reviews reimbursements for individuals on assigned caseload based on Medicaid and OPWDD guidance.
- Works closely with the Broker and Program Director to maintain consistency and ensure timeliness of payment to individuals.
- Assisting with maintaining appropriate service, statistical and financial records as required by the agency.
- Work with individuals and brokers to initiate and complete the self-direction process.
- Explain all fiscal procedures and required waiver documentation to individuals, such as the hiring and training of staff.
- Provide the Self-Direction individuals with copies of all written policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between individual, broker, and OPWDD.
- Monitor individual's budget utilization and perform monthly financial statement
- Provide quality assurance and administrative support working with individuals and their families.
- Reviews all Life Plan for compliance agency and OPWDD standards.
- Attend Life Plan meetings semi-annually representing the Fiscal Intermediary
- Assist with record keeping, gathering required documentation for services, and providing follow up as needed.
- Completes all assignments in a timely manner.
- Preparation of statistical data
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
- Keeps up to date with trainings and to changes in the field.
- Maintain confidentiality of all work-related information.
- Act in a manner consistent with Central New York Quest’s Mission.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
