Job Title : Registered Nurse

Location : Winston Salem, North Carolina

Facility : Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center

Specialty : Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU)

Patient Diagnoses : Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit Patients

Unit Size : 26 beds

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Staffing Ratios : 2 : 1; occasionally 3 : 1

Float Requirement : Yes, to other ICU's and intermediate units

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Orientation : 24 hours

Job Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience : 2

Traveler Experience : Unit WILL Accept 1st time travelers

Skills : ICP Monitoring, Ventilator Management, Telemetry

Special Procedures / Unit Details : This is a 26 bed Neuro and surgical ICU (NSICU) within a comprehensive stroke center.

Special Equipment : EVD management, Ventilator management, Zoll temperature management / artic sun, PCAs

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Additional Details

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
