Pharmacy Technician Position

This position is a PRN as needed pharmacy technician position. This position is located in Covington, LA at an LTAC Pharmacy managed by Cardinal Health. There may be opportunity for more hours at the Hammond, LA facility as well.

Responsibilities :

• Inputs patient data and prescription information into pharmacy information management system
• Assists the pharmacist in filling prescription orders, as permitted by the State Boards of Pharmacy
• Prepares medications for dispensing, packaging, and shipment
• Enters medical supply orders in pharmacy system
• Maintains knowledge of and abides by applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves, and removes out-of-date items from the inventory
• Communicates with all customers (patients, clinics, caregivers, physicians) in a pleasant and professional manner

Anticipated Pay Rate : $15.40 $22.10 per hour
