job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPerform various types of welding fabrication and repairs on Caterpillar machinery and components Conduct disassembly and assembly of equipment, ensuring precision and durability Read and interpret blueprints and bend allowances to execute custom fabrication Operate arc welding, MIG welding, arc gouging, and oxyacetylene torches Follow fabrication procedures and safety protocols to maintain high-quality standards Complete light machine work and assist in related service tasks as required Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs High school graduate or equivalent Associate’s degree or certificate from a technical school preferred Certified Welder with proven experience in : Welding fabrication Arc and MIG welding Metal cutting and torch use Blueprint interpretation and fabrication layout Previous mechanic work or military experience preferred Must be able to work overtime as needed Strong technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities Experience quoting jobs or assisting with estimates Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or heavy machinery service
