Estimated Weekly Salary Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780 - $1910 per week Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Hendersonville, NC 28791 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Unit : Medical Surgical Oncology (37-bed hospital unit) Assignment Length : 13-week contract Start Date : October 20, 2025 Shift : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours : Up to 36 hours per week (facility may cancel one shift biweekly) Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Float : Float to Orthopedics and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed On Call : No on-call required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (required for RN jobs in NC) Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (required) American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification (required) AHA ACLS certification (preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience Epic EMR experience within the last year At least one completed travel nurse assignment (no new travelers) Recent night shift experience (within the last year) Compliance documentation due 7 business days before start date Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical oncology patients Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5-6 during night shifts Care for patients with cancer, pneumonia, COPD, dehydration, DVT, infections, GI disorders, pancreatitis, substance abuse, and mental status changes Support surgical patients (general, bariatric, vascular, urological, endoscopic, podiatric, ENT procedures) Float to Orthopedics and PCU as census requires Participate in bi-monthly staff meetings Comply with facility policies, including weekend and holiday rotations Discover the benefits of North Carolina healthcare jobs while making a difference in patient care.
