Customer Service Representative

VCA Coast Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with previous animal hospital experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality customer service and patient care. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Clients by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. We also value honest and direct communication between team members, management and clients. We are community centered, we honor the client / patient relationship and we respect people and pets. Essential Functions :

• Customer service functions, including : greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & Tick control)
• Managing electronic medical records, reports and correspondence

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $18 to $23 per hour.
