Job Summary :
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by delivering exceptional patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This role involves handling a variety of clinical duties that range in complexity and skill, offering opportunities for learning and growth. Responsibilities :
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Welcome, comfort, seat, and drape patients for dental treatment.
- Act as a key communicator within the practice, providing support and information to both patients and colleagues.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment areas; assist the dentist with instrumentation, suctioning, and passing tools.
- Prepare, mix, and place materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth as directed.
- Perform diagnostic tasks such as exposing and developing radiographic studies and preparing study casts.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and clean / polish removable appliances.
- Assist with dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care.
- Document dental care services in patient records.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect patient information.
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Use equipment and supplies efficiently to conserve resources.
- Stay current on professional and technical knowledge through continuing education and professional engagement.
- Contribute to team goals and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience :
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR one year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.Required Certifications & Licensure :
CPR certification.X-ray training or certification.Preferred Certifications & Licensure :
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
