Transporation Specialist

The Musco Risk Management team has an opening for a Transportation Specialist at our Oskaloosa office . This position will focus on ensuring the organization meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FMCSA) regulations through centralized management of compliance tasks. This role streamlines processes, maintains accurate records, and supports driver and worker readiness to promote safety, efficiency, and regulatory adherence across operations. Essential Criteria :

• 5+ years of experience in a safety / transportation compliance role.
• Robust DOT and FMCSA understanding. FAA and / or FRA knowledge and understanding a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, legal, public health, business or a related field preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Risk management.
• Internal auditing.
• Corporate governance.
• Regulatory frameworks (FMCSA, FRA, FAA, HIPAA, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Innovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Musco solutions is a plus.
