Your new passion

  • Portfolio management : Developing and implementing the business strategy for your portfolio of journals.
  • Journal development : Manage and grow a key publishing portfolio by defining journal development plans aligned with our Thieme Science strategy.
  • Quality and improvement : Continuous quality management and improvement on journal level regarding decisions on resources and service standards.
  • Performance management : Ensure that KPIs are regularly monitored, reported and met, and that action is taken as needed.
  • Networking, research community : Developing and expanding a network in our target groups.
  • Collaboration : close and coordinated collaboration with colleagues within the international Thieme Science Unit.

You inspire us with this

  • PhD or master’s degree preferably in life sciences or medicine
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the international academic publishing industry.
  • Experience in transitioning journals to open access
  • Expert in networking with societies and other key players
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of publishing ethics, editorial policy, procedures, and practice
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills plus an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Outstanding communication skills with stakeholders at all levels in written and spoken English.
