Emergency Medicine Physician

A locum tenens position is available at a busy Level II Trauma Center that is transitioning to Level I by the end of 2025. This Emergency Room position offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment with rotating shifts to accommodate trauma and general medicine cases. With multiple shift options covering day and night hours, this position provides the unique opportunity to work alongside Emergency Medicine residents and support a diverse patient population of approximately 75,000 annual visits.

Job Responsibilities - Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a Level II Trauma Center.- Collaborate with Emergency Medicine residents and Advanced Practice Providers.- Manage patient encounters with a typical range of 20-30 per shift.- Utilize Epic for EMR documentation.

Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.- Certifications required : ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS.- Experience in a trauma setting preferred.

Working Hours - Flexible shift schedules including nights and weekends.- Opportunities for 12-hour and 8-hour shifts depending on needs.

Skills - Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in emergency scenarios.- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Epic.
