Position Overview
A successful Fire Restoration Manager monitors, inspects and completes tasks for restoration jobs to ensure completion of drying, demolition, pack-out of contents and various fire restoration activities. The Fire Restoration Manager prepares and reviews documentation to include notes, photos and documents according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies, as well as explains processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers. Additionally, this role is critical for the success of a restoration company, as they are responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards. They must be detailed oriented and understand commercial and insurance restoration industry. Having a basic construction background which includes basic understanding of building materials, flooring and other materials affected by wind, water, fire, smoke and other property damage causes will assist in being successful in this position. Xactimate experience is an essential requirement of this job. If you do not have experience with this software, you will still be considered if you have strong computer skills.
Job Responsibilities
Retrieves work orders, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrives to work site.Explain processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers using printed materials as a guide with or without supervisorCompletes assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job with urgencyPerforms fire / smoke damage repair and tasks to include water extraction, pack-out of contents, removing / disposing of non-salvageable materials, light construction and demolition as directed by supervisorEnsures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled. Reports any equipment malfunction and or damage to supervisorInspects jobs after completion and obtains customer signatures for approval purposes, and requests payments when necessaryResponsible for making daily adjustments to the drying plan based on meter readingsInspects jobs after completion and obtains customer signatures for approval purposes, and requests payments when necessaryResolves issues with customers, communicates customer issues, daily job activities with supervisor and key company staffPrepares documentation and pictures according to company policies and procedures to ensure reimbursement from insurance companiesInspect and scope jobs onsite-and work with Project Manager / Crew Chief / Lead Tech on scope of jobDocument loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into operating system / softwareWrites mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating softwareCommunicates conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required softwareEstimates using carrier audit standards and manages the estimate based on feedback from client and customerCommunicates with project manager / lead tech to ensure all required documentation is complete (photos, notes and documents signed)Record of Drying using mobile softwareDetermine labor and equipment costsPrepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricingCommunicate w / insurance companies, and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner and acts as a liaisonManage all estimate documents and assess project risksReview quotes and estimates with the construction project teamAddresses estimate exceptions in a timely mannerJob Requirements
High school graduate or equivalentExperience in the restoration or construction industry is preferred, but not requiredValid Drivers License and satisfactory driving recordGood verbal and written and communication skillsGood problem solving and customer service skillsKnowledge of disaster restoration industryMust be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlinesExperience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phoneReport to work on time in a clean, complete uniformRead and follow product label usage instructionsCertifications are preferred, but not required :FSRT Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
