Responsibilities

• Direct product development teams in the delivery of software in support of the company's products.
• Build UI discipline, QA automation, and expand DevOps as we scale.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on development to ensure scalability and efficiency of the Engineering department.
• Work in a fast-paced, agile environment; collaborate with stakeholders and Product Management.
• Manage delivery of initiatives and sprints based on the Product Roadmap.
• Translate business objectives into team strategies; establish best practices for frontend development.
• Coordinate development, testing, and production release of new features; coordinate maintenance to support existing features.
• Research and recommend software products to support new development.
• Track and report on key performance indicators and metrics; escalate issues, risks, and changes in a timely manner.
• Identify process gaps and build capabilities to grow and improve; collaborate with senior staff and architects on continually improving systems architecture.
• Recruit, coach, and mentor software engineers; conduct performance appraisals and salary administration; develop capabilities and career growth opportunities.
• Provide regular reporting on projects, resources, and state of the department; develop and manage the department budget for cost-effective solutions.
