Position Title : Senior Data Engineer (SQL / Informatica)

Position Location : Open to all locations including the listed satellite locations - no preference of order

Ability to work remote : Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 Remote

Intended length of Assignment : 12 / 31 / 2025 - due to budget but manager will be extending resource immediately with an intent to be 6mon-1 year contract with extension again beyond that.

Impact / Function this role has within the bank / LOB : A combination of mitigating risk, cost reduction, and increasing revenue - to help provide data to make sound decisions for the organization, products projects, etc.

Industry background : technology background required, banking is a nice to have

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Work with different departments within our LOB in order to work on data requests.
  • Meet with LOB to go over requirements and gather any additional information needed to complete data request
  • Use SQL to gather all of the necessary data needed in order to meet the request
  • Create documentation related to request, including SQL, and work with ETL team in order for ETL to be able to create the scheduled job using Informatica.
  • Work with testers in order to ensure they understand the requirements and be able to perform the appropriate testing.
  • Once testing is complete, the Data Engineer will need to work with our Run the Bank group in order to prepare for deployment and validation of the deployment.

Must Have Technical Skills :

  • Strong SQL skills

    • Flex Skills / Nice to Have :

  • Experience with Oracle
  • Experience with Home Lending or Lending in general
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Informatica
  • Azure DevOps
  • JIRA

    • Education : Preferred bachelor's degree or relevant work experience

    Screening Questions :

  • For SQL written, were these basic SQL queries or complex? Did you have to worry about how efficient they were? Can you provide more detail on types of queries that were written.
  • What issues have you encountered in your previous job experience related to data and how were they resolved?
  • What has been your most difficult project that you have worked on in the past?
