Job description
Are you passionate about animal welfare and the patient experience in a veterinary setting? Do you want to join a hospital that is trying to find a
solution for vet tech burn- out ? Do you want to learn some new skills?! Join us!!
We are a privately owned 6 Dr veterinary hospital with a special relationship with our
local humane society , and so we have the privilege of being able to serve shelter pets as well! We are searching for a self-motivated team player who has a passion for serving pets and the humans that they bring along with them.
We have ideas to tackle tech burn out, and we want to hear yours! We proudly offer top-notch pay and benefits, but we are also doing the following : We will limit your janitorial duties and try to delegate tasks such as nail trims and other procedures that require a lot of manual labor to our technician assistants and our animal care attendants. We take the culture of our practice seriously! Our employees are our most valuable resource !
We want our techs to do what techs have been trained to do! In addition to surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, venipuncture, laboratory skills, etc. >
we have also taught some of our techs higher level skills such as suturing and abdominal ultrasound. Depending on interest, the right candidate can be our “go-to” for all orthopedic surgeries. We can accommodate 8 - 12-hour shifts, full or part-time. If you are passionate about social media, you can make funny vet med TikTok’s while at work! Help us to get creative to keep the veterinary technicians in the workforce! The average burn-out time for vet techs is NOT okay.
We use the FISH! principles to help navigate and drive the culture of our practice, obtained from a group who studied the Seattle Pike’s Place fish market and how they created such a unique and FUN work environment. We utilize these principles every day!
Benefits Include :
Low deductible Health and dental insurance. We cover ~70% of the premium. Most of our employees have top notch health and dental care for ~$100 / month.
Annual $200 veterinary credit along with generously discounted services and inventory items. Complimentary lab-work and heartworm and flea prevention for your animals.
Scrubs reimbursement.
Bring your pup to work with complimentary doggie daycare and free boarding as well!
