As a Veterinary Technician - In Patient, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of ill or injured pets. Daily Responsibilities : Provide patient care according to treatment plans Patient discharge; client education of home care plans Ensure Fear Free Certified practices are implemented Perform and maintain IV catheterization Fluid and syringe pump set up and monitoring Phlebotomy Post procedure recovery monitoring Assist specialty departments as needed Required Skills : Detailed patient care and assessment skills Basic small animal behavior knowledge, ability to anticipate and redirect Licensed / Registered / Certified Veterinary Technician Minimum of one year experience in practice as a LVT / RVT / CVT Skilled in medication administration, dose calculations and fluid caculations Small animal Restraint Patient Recovery Monitoring CPR Company Information : Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Service is a referral and emergency pet hospital located in Louisville, serving the surrounding area for over 20 years.
