Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring LDRP and mother / baby experience with flexibility to float to multiple units. Responsibilities Position is on a 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms Provides care across all LDRP areas, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nursing, newborn care, and couplet care Patient ratios are maintained according to AWHONN staffing guidelines Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Work is required every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Will float to the house as a sitter and may float to labor and delivery or mother / baby at a second hospital as census or needs dictate Uses Epic for documentation; experience preferred but not required Nurses will be trained to perform newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine Responsibilities include complete patient care through labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, performing lab draws, and supporting newborns at delivery Scrubs are provided by the facility Only one holiday RTO request is allowed, and only for a single day or single evening / day after No RTO approved for the first 8 days of the contract Floating may be required to sister units as patient census or staffing needs arise Requirements Active MI RN license required Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery, OB, and mother / baby nursing experience Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and / or NCC C-EFM certifications required AWHONN Advanced certification preferred Must have experience in circulating and fetal heart monitoring triage Scrub experience preferred Ability to perform lab draws and hearing screens on newborns Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618495.
