American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with a current CA RN license and experience caring for high-risk OB patients.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
  • Care for high-risk obstetric and culturally diverse patient populations
  • RNs circulate on cesarean sections
  • Night shift position, 3x12 hour shifts from 18 : 00 to 06 : 30
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirement
  • Floating required between hospital units and potentially to affiliate hospitals nearby
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Responsible for circulating during cesarean sections and providing care for high-risk obstetric patients
  • Must be willing to float between sister facilities in the state as needed
  • Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
  • Scrubs in any solid color are acceptable, with Royal Blue or Navy preferred
  • Parking is free on the first day, with assignment parking provided during orientation
  • Online modules required pre-start and annually, averaging 16 hours to complete
  • RTO must be included at time of application; submit all time off requests prior to assignment

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and NRP
  • References : Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Candidates must not have been a permanent staff member at this facility within the last 3 months
  • Candidates must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility for travel consideration
