Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol

As an Allied Universal Security Officer specializing in access control at a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your responsibilities with a strong sense of integrity and care. You'll have the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service while working as part of a dedicated team that values reliability, agility, and innovation.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $27.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Wed 08 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM Thur 08 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information as needed.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with healthcare staff and first responders when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
