Position Overview
As a Nursing Assistant (NA) at GSS SD Rapid City St Martin, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, resident-centered care. This is a PRN position with varying shifts, allowing you the flexibility to work when it suits you best!
Your Responsibilities
- Provide daily living assistance and nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Deliver age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of each resident.
- Assist with essential health care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Support residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using safe techniques.
- Create a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks.
- Document resident interactions and communicate any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming living environment through housekeeping and laundry services.
- Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.
What We’re Looking For
Education : High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.Experience : Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus.Certification : Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in a training program to obtain certification within four months.Additional Requirements : Depending on the facility, QMAP certification may be required.Must complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education credits.For some roles, a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle report may be necessary.Why Join Us?
