Allied Universal is now hiring a Full-time Security Customs Protection Flex Officer for the Sioux Falls, SD area. Job Details :
Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour
Schedule : Must be able to work all shifts (FLEXIBILITY IS REQUIRED)
Duties : Foot Patrol, CCTV Monitoring, and Access Control.
Experience : Must have 2+ years of Law Enforcement, Military, or Corrections Experience. A Concealed License to Carry, and must be CPO qualified. No Exceptions!
Skills : Excellent computer and customer service skills, and a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements : Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, and work in all weather elements.

The Security Customs Protection Flex Officer will conduct armed and / or unarmed foot and / or vehicle patrol (interior and / or exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; deterring criminal activity and misconduct. The Security Customs Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.
Responsibilities :
- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
- Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
- Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
- Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
- Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
- Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
Qualifications (Must Have) :
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalentMust possess one or more of the following :Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat ZoneGraduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter fieldBachelors degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studiesA minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branchAssociates degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military serviceBe at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions onlyBe able to operate radio or telephone equipment and / or console monitorsDemonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicEffective oral and written communicationProblem solvingActive listeningAssess and evaluate situations effectivelyIdentify critical issues quickly and accuratelyCompile, sort, and interpret dataResearch, investigate, compile informationMediate conflict with tact, diplomacyWrite informatively, clearly, and accuratelyTeamworkAttention to detailPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :
