Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse.

This position involves caring for critically ill children, providing specialized medical attention and support.

The unit is comprised of 9 beds, with patient ratios of 1 RN to 1-2 patients in PICU and 1 RN to 2-3 patients in stepdown.

The work environment includes collaboration with unit secretaries and techs, who share responsibilities within the unit.

Key equipment includes Alaris pumps and documentation is managed through a Cerner system.

Mandatory scheduling requires working 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule.

Floating to Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units is expected.

Advanced patient care procedures include IV starts, catheterization, lumbar punctures, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, tracheostomy care, tube feeding, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management.

All staff are required to adhere to a specific dress code of navy blue or white attire.
