Project Role Description :

Support the operations and / or manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements.

Must have skills :

Microsoft SQL Server Administration

Educational Qualification : 15 years full-time education

Summary :

As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. Your typical day will involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations. You will also engage in planning and executing maintenance activities to enhance system reliability and efficiency, while ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards.

Technical Skills :

  • Good knowledge of core databases (RDBMS – Oracle, MS SQL, DB2) & NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Snowflake, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, etc.)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (YAML, JSON, PowerShell)
  • Understanding of licensing models (Oracle, Microsoft)
  • Knowledge of IAM tools (OKTA, Centrify, CyberArk)
  • Design & define architecture for new implementations / migrations / onboarding in DB space

Project Management :

  • Collaborate with business and service owners for new technologies
  • Ensure active lifecycle management of technologies
  • Set up user management, profiles, standards, and access policies with ISO team
  • Handle adhoc projects for resource allocation
  • Strong SRE skills
  • Technical Expertise :

  • Database technologies, data modeling, and architecture design
  • AWS RDS experience preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux OS
  • Problem-solving skills for complex database issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of data security principles and IAM tools
  • Cost optimization and licensing knowledge
  • Additional Skills :

  • Experience with cloud databases (migration, upgrade, load balancing, DR, replication)
  • Automation experience (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Project execution focused on cost reduction and automation
  • 15 years full-time education
