• Safe operation of a forklift to effectively and efficiently move raw materials and finished goods to required departments / locations.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Occasionally required to band raw materials or finished product.
• Load and unload trucks using forklift, maintaining order and safety on the dock for all items being loaded or unloaded.
• Communicate with drivers regarding start and finish of load / unload, and where to dock.
• Always maintain a safe working environment and monitor all work processes for safe working conditions.
• Maintain a clean working area.
• Inform the supervisor of any safety or quality issues.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum education, experience, certifications, skills, and / or abilities required for this position.

Education & Experience :

Prior forklift driving experience preferred.

Would be required to pass internal forklift driving training.

Skills / Abilities :

Ability to read and understand work instructions, as well as to communicate effectively.

Ability to work scheduled work hours, along with occasional required overtime.

Ability to effectively self-manage time and service multiple areas.

Supervisory Responsibility : None.

Physical requirements include :

Bending, reaching, stretching, kneeling, stooping and sitting.

Working Conditions : The work environment for this position is a warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather which exposes the employee to outdoor conditions.
