Responsibilities
Seat and prepare patient for carePrepare room, equipment and instrumentsTake vital signs and update medical history as neededExplain scheduled treatment, obtain consent forms, and deliver post-op instructionsInventory, ordering and stockingRadiographs and intraoral imaging, including annual inspectionsChair-side assisting, including suctioning & 4-handed dentistryNitrous administration and monitoringCharting and note-takingProper maintenance of equipment, biohazards, sterilizers, amalgam separators, waterlines, and handpiecesEnsuring patient comfort throughout the procedure or examinationCoordinate follow-up appointments, post-ops, and home care for patientsSpecialty referrals and prescription careManage lab cases (packing, scheduling picking, ensuring timely delivery)Inventory, ordering and stockingProvide exceptional patient care and help the team stay on timeEnsure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after useRequirements : Qualifications
Sterilization and asepsis training – INFECTION CONTROLOSHA / HIPAA knowledgeAble to take X-rays (digital) including pano, bitewings, vertical bitewings, FMX, and single PAsAble to take and pour impressions and trim / prepare for bite guard / whitening tray fabricationCoronal polishing, flossing, fluoride application, sealants, and hygiene instructionsKnowledge of general dentistry, including clear aligners and major restorativeFamiliar with surgical and endodontic procedures, including implants and molar endoCurrent BLS / CPR certification is requiredExperience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are neededStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and patientsCompensation
$26 - $32 hourly
