Director Product Design UX - Loyalty (Remote Or Hybrid)
The pay range is $163,000.00 - $294,000.00. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and may include education, work experience and certifications.

About the role
As a Director of UX for the Loyalty team you’ll lead a group of about 7 designers and design managers responsible for Target’s Loyalty programs and financial products, including Circle, Circle Card, and Circle 360 memberships.
Success for this leader requires partnering with a broad set of stakeholders to establish design and experience direction, ensuring your teams have what they need to thrive. This includes operating routines, insights, design direction, partner awareness, and an inclusive culture.
You will build trust and proactively partner with UX, Product, Tech & Business stakeholders to set the stage for your team to achieve exceptional outcomes. You are curious and data-driven, able to communicate clearly and advocate for design with partners and leaders. You will work within a complex, matrixed organization and co-create strategies with cross-functional partners while ensuring high-quality craft delivered efficiently. You will maintain relationships with leaders at multiple levels including Directors, Sr. Directors, and VPs.
As a people leader, you will coach and mentor a team of people leaders and ICs, helping them grow, increasing trust and engagement, and scaling the UX organization with appropriate structures, roles, and responsibilities. You are comfortable leading through change and ambiguity and building a community of practice in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
Lead with deep expertise in the Loyalty and membership space, product knowledge, and strategy
Oversee all experiences within a defined product area and collaborate with other groups for seamless experiences
Partner with cross-functional leaders to create the product roadmap in alignment with group and company priorities
Grow the team's ability to create high-quality, accessible, usable experiences
Evolve the organization composition, assembling teams to deliver on cross-area missions
Support the growth of UX managers on the team through 1 : 1s, performance management, and other resources
About you
10+ years of experience in UX / digital product design with a strong craft
Foundational understanding of digital retail businesses
5+ years of experience in people leadership with hiring, leading, and coaching cross-geography or remote teams; experience managing teams of 15+ is a plus
Experience in large, matrixed, global or multinational organizations is a plus
Ability to balance short-term and long-term thinking while improving quality and team performance
Proactive in identifying and resolving issues that may impede goals
Strong data-driven storytelling skills with ability to bring partners along
Experience managing many stakeholders through all phases of the design process
This position may be considered for Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote arrangement means working full-time from home or another location without a Target desk. A Hybrid / Flex for Your Day arrangement means work may be remote or onsite depending on what is required. Work duties cannot be performed outside the country of the primary work location unless specified.
