Lead Provider + Clinical Operations

Location : 8921 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 (Preferably licensed in FL, NV, NY or CA)

Who You Are

You are a highly motivated, multistate-licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in psychiatry and operations. Ideally, you hold dual certification as a Family NP and PMHNP and bring hands-on leadership and management experience. You embody the core values of Better U :

Position Summary

The Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Better U plays a dual role :

Clinical Care : Delivering high-quality psychiatric services (including assessments, prescribing, ketamine therapy, med management, and therapeutic interventions).

Leadership + Operations : Managing and training clinicians, refining protocols, and helping lead clinical operations across multiple states.

This role is designed for someone who thrives in both patient-facing care and high-level operational leadership.

Responsibilities

Work 4045 hours per week

Up to 30 hours / week of direct patient care

10+ hours / week managing, training, and leading clinical operations

Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management, including ketamine therapy and other psychedelic treatments.

Develop, refine, and implement new clinical protocols and initiatives.

Oversee and support other clinicians (escalations, refills, supervision).

Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and operations team to align patient care with compliance standards.

Partner on potential clinical trials in psychedelic and biotech research.

Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance across state lines.

Build a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

Licensure : Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in multiple states (preferred : CA, NY, TX, FL, KY, AK, VA, IL, KS, PA, HI, OR, GA).

Preferred : Dual board certification (PMHNP + FNP).

At least 1 year of clinical psychiatric experience as an NP.

Strong background in operations, leadership, or practice management.

DEA license (active and in good standing).

Experience administering Spravato or other psychedelic therapies strongly preferred.

Excellent communication, empathy, and leadership skills.

Integrative or holistic medicine experience (weight loss, HRT, functional medicine) is a plus.

Willingness to work 1020 hours / week onsite at 8921 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary : $130,000$160,000 / year (depends on experience and current licenses)

Benefits include PTO, Monthly Virtual Primary Care, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and 401K.

State licensing fees covered for expansion into additional states.

1 DEA renewal covered annually.
