Turning Point, Inc. is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and organized Housing Assistant to join our residential team at a Board & Lodge facility. This vital role supports the day-to-day operations of the house and provides structure, accountability, and encouragement to residents as they work toward independent living.
What You’ll Do :
As a Housing Assistant, you’ll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents in recovery. You'll :
- Support clients with daily routines, house rules, and recovery goals
- Help manage meals, chores, and check-ins / check-outs
- Keep clear shift notes and incident reports
- Respond calmly to crises and follow safety protocols
- Work closely with the housing team to keep things running smoothly

Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications in housing, recovery, or human services are a plus)Understanding of addiction recovery, mental health, and trauma-informed careStrong communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of lifeGenuine empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients in recoveryAbility to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced, structured environmentBasic computer proficiency and comfort with electronic health recordsFamiliarity with confidentiality standards and ethical documentation practicesConfidence in handling challenging situations calmly and respectfullyFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as neededPreferred Qualifications :
