job_description.job_card.job_descriptionThe Inventory Specialist is a critical team member responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient inventory levels to support production operations within a warehouse environment. This role involves verifying components against production orders, managing material movement, organizing storage solutions, and ensuring data integrity in inventory systems. Additionally, the Inventory Specialist provides backup support for shipping duties, assisting with order fulfillment and shipment preparation as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless manufacturing and logistical workflows. Inventory Control & Accuracy : Maintain precise, real-time records of all inventory items, including incoming materials, outgoing products, and supplies. Ensure data accuracy in all systems. Regularly review inventory levels, identify potential shortages or overstock situations, and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely replenishment. Conduct scheduled physical counts, reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system data, and investigate causes of variances. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Work collaboratively with purchasing, logistics, production, and sales teams to optimize inventory processes and support overall operational efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe working environment. High level of accuracy in data entry and inventory management. Ability to analyze inventory data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions. Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain an organized workspace. Clear communicator capable of working with diverse teams and external suppliers. Experience with inventory management software, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry tools. Collaborative mindset and willingness to assist team members as needed. Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and production schedules. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or technical certification in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related roles. Experience working with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) is highly desirable. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for inventory calculations and data entry accuracy.
