Power Systems Application Engineer

Location : Seattle (REMOTE 100% / Could be traveling to different locations)

Salary Range : $50 / hr

Introduction

Join our dynamic team where you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of advanced Power Systems Application software. You will collaborate with Electric Utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs), and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions. Your expertise will contribute to meeting our corporate project and product commitments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• 5 years of experience in customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems, preferably e-terra AEMS - Reliance
• Must have experience in SCADA Design and Development on GE Fanuc platform
• Experience in Electric grid (Transmission and Distribution)
• 5 years of experience with C, Java, or other related languages
• 5 years of experience with electric utility industry practices
• 5 years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems
• 5 years of experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and shell scripting
• Ability to read and interpret logs and debug files
• Experience in installing Operating System patches and other third-party software
• System configuration and hands-on experience with GitHub and ClearCase
• 5 years of experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems
• Proven track record of problem analysis, identification, and resolution
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Competency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook
• Experience with Reliance (formerly known as XA21)
