Dunn Savoie Inc is a structural engineering company based out of 908 S Cleveland St, Oceanside, California. We are a small firm in business since 1998 with mostly repeat clients and referrals from them. We are 3 blocks from the beach, and have a relaxed natural air environment.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer for Buildings and Retaining at Dunn Savoie Inc located in Oceanside, CA (in office preferred, 2 days a week minimum if hybrid desired). The role involves designing and analyzing structural components for buildings and retaining walls, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring structural integrity and safety compliance. Must have experience with existing wood framed construction field work for repairs, retrofits and remodels. We work for Architects, Contractors, Homeowners & HOA property managers.

Qualifications

• Communication and Analytical Skills
• Project Management skills-with client, job consultants and our staff.
• experience with on site determination of existing framing for remodels, repairs and retrofits.
• Structural / Architectural & Retaining Engineering experience desired.
• Experience with structural analysis software-Enercalc is our main program and we also have Risa 3D
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
• California Experience required
• Bonus's are given when DSI profits allow...twice a year the last two.
• Drafting experience not required but familiarity with AutoCadd is a plus.
