General Summary
To serve as the primary financial model builder and key member of Dollar Generals Real Estate Financial Planning and Analysis team. The models will support the sales, real estate, SG&A, and capital planning functions for Dollar General. Assists in research aimed at improving the companys ability to forecast sales, profitability, and project financial returns. Provide cost-benefit, variance, and ad-hoc analysis as directed by Sr. Management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed financial models in support of the Commercial Finance function for Dollar General :
Assist in assigned areas of the real estate budget and forecast finance cycle, including :
Utilize various systems and software (Excel, Anaplan, Lawson, Webfocus, Power BI, etc.) to access, manage, analyze, and summarize data.
Collaborate cross-functionally to perform research and gain in depth knowledge of the business.
Design and maintain systems and processes to support the Commercial Finance team.
Support real estate, capital, and finance partners on various levels of ad hoc support.
Assist in various levels of new and existing store sales budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Advanced knowledge of Excel, with an understanding of key formulas and functions, including Lookups, Pivot Tables, and macros.
Mastery of financial modeling techniques inclusive of 3-statement model construction, valuation techniques, and peer benchmark analysis.
Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and database application skills.
Must possess the following skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-driven, team player committed to developing partnerships and who will maintain strong working relationships to facilitate the planning, forecasting, and analytical processes.
Develop a thorough knowledge of the company to understand how decisions affect other areas.
