Position Type : Full-Time Physician – Medical Physicist (Radiation Oncology)

An excellent opportunity for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Medical Physicist to join a collaborative Radiation Oncology Department . This full-time role ensures safe therapeutic radiological physics services, top-tier patient care, and teaching contributions while working with a well-supported interdisciplinary team.
Practice Highlights
- Clinic-based practice – 40 hours per week, no weekends
- On-call schedule : 1 : 2
- Start Date : ASAP
- Advanced therapies available : SRS, SBRT, IMRT, DIBH, gating, SGRT, and 3D Conformal
- 2 Linear Accelerators : TomoTherapy Hi-Art & Varian TrueBeam
- Treatment Planning Software : Eclipse and Tomoplan | Record & Verify : Aria
- Team Structure : 2 Physicists, 2 Dosimetrists, 8 Radiation Therapists, 3 RNs, and strong admin / clinical support staff
- Daily Volume : ~35 patients across 2 machines
- Participate in QA (patient-specific, chart, linear accelerator), plan checks, calibrations, commissioning, and implementation of new technologies
- Close collaboration with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Therapists, and Medical Oncology colleagues
Candidate Requirements
MS or PhD in Radiology / Radiological Sciences – RequiredUS Board Eligible (with plan to become Certified) or Board Certified (ABR / ABMP) – RequiredIowa Radiation Therapy Physicist Registration – Required (or willingness to obtain)Iowa License (or willingness to obtain) – RequiredClean malpractice history – RequiredVisa support : Open to H1B and J1 candidatesOpen to 2025 residency graduates who will be Board Eligible at completionNot open to Locum, 1099, or long-distance commuting candidatesNot accepting candidates with lapsed Board CertificationSchedule & Coverage
