We are currently looking to hire an ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY (EHS) MANAGER for our Elmhurst, IL client.
The Opportunity
IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently recruiting for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager . This role will lead health and safety initiatives across U.S. business locations. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive programs that ensure compliance with legislation, reduce workplace risk, and support a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain safety practices, policies, and procedures across all locations.
- Create annual health and safety plans, including hazard assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance to managers on returning injured employees to work safely.
- Lead employee training, orientations, and safety committee activities.
- Ensure OSHA compliance and serve as the point of contact for audits and inspections.
- Conduct accident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action planning.
- Manage workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Track, report, and communicate safety KPIs and incidents to leadership.
- Promote a strong EHS culture aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (preferred).CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent certification required.Minimum 5 years experience in health & safety management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.In-depth knowledge of OSHA and federal, state, and local EHS regulations.Strong experience in accident investigation, claims management, and risk assessment.Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate safety training programs.Valid drivers license, clean record, and ability to travel (1015%).Ability to cross borders (passport required or willingness to obtain).Why Join
