Summary :     The Resident Service Designee supports the Resident Service Director in the administration of the nursing services.  In conjunction with the Resident Service Director, the Resident Service Designee directs, plans, and coordinates services activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering resident care.  Interprets policy and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensures compliance.  Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services rendered to ensure quality of resident care.  The Resident Service Designee in concert with the Resident Service Director assumes responsibility for providing oversight of the resident health care service’s needs, including the overall medication delivery system and the coordination of in-service training for the Resident Care Services Department.  The Resident Service Designee contributes directly and positively to the team approach to quality resident care by attending to and assisting with a variety of physical, emotional and social needs to help residents maintain their highest level of independence possible.

Essential Functions :

• Responsible for ensuring clinical services are provided in accordance with state regulations, accepted clinical standards, agency policy and standards.
• Assist in the coordination and management of nursing and personal care attendant services provided to residents.
• Provides nursing services to residents :

Resident Teaching.

Move in Process :

Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations for the pre-move in assessment, review of paperwork and contribute to initial service plan development.

Identify needs for additional assessment, health monitoring or other coordination of care needs Move in Process

Coordinate resident’s health care in collaboration with residents, families and outside health care agencies, including referral when indicated

Coordinates and participates in initial job specific orientation and training through routine review of training documents, in accordance with policies and procedures

Provides delegation, in accordance with state regulations and Community policy.

Maintains compliance with Community policies on Immunizations, Infection Control and Infectious Disease Management.

Assists residents who no longer require services o Quality Assurance
