Italian Village Restaurants is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to join our Back of House team at The Village . This role is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and storing all restaurant deliveries while maintaining organization and cleanliness in storage and prep areas. The Receiver also supports the team with light prep work, dishwashing, and general back-of-house upkeep as needed.

Receive and inspect all restaurant deliveries, verifying accuracy, quality, and safety.Properly store products by type and temperature zone, following “first in, first out” rotation procedures.Maintain organization and cleanliness in all storage areas, including coolers, cabinets, and the cellar.Support the Prep Cook and Dishwasher teams as needed.Track and communicate inventory needs to Management.Reject any product not meeting quality or safety standards, noting discrepancies on invoices.Safely and correctly operate all tools and equipment.Follow all sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety guidelines.Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude.Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications (Required) :
Ability to get along with others - pleasant personality and neat, clean appearanceAt least 18 years of age and legally allowed to work in the United StatesAbility to follow verbal instructions well and accept constructive feedback on job performanceAbility to communicate scheduling needs, equipment issues, and any other concerns with the ChefWillingness to work nights and weekends regularlyWillingness to work flexible and irregular hoursAbility to lift and carry up to 30-50 pounds frequently while moving up and down stairsAbility to work standing on your feet for up to 8-10 hours dailyAbility to perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on qualityAbility to perform more than one task at a time and prioritizeAbility to move and work fast, but also be thoughtful and gentle as to not break plate and glasswareAbility to go up and down up to 3 flights of stairs as needed to perform tasksAbility to reach up to 6 feet overhead (can use crate) or bend over and stoop to the ground while cleaningAbility to work in spaces with slick, often wet floors in a careful mannerAbility to work in a confined, crowded, fast-moving space with high noise and light levelsBenefits
