Security Officer - Morning

As a Security Officer - Morning in Rochelle, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. You will play a key part in promoting a secure environment by being approachable and responsive, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset. Job Schedule : DayTime

Thur 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Fri 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sat 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of activity within the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing situations and varying work environments within financial institution locations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
