Facilities Lab Porter

Title : Facilities Lab Porter Location : Wareham MA Schedule : Monday through Friday onsite daily 8-5 (occasional Saturdays) Duration : 6 month contract to hire Start : ASAP Education : Highschool Diploma or equivalent Requirements : 1 year as a lab tech (additional training will be provided) Active MA drivers license Responsibilities : 1. Ability to stand for long periods of time. 2. Be able to lift a maximum of 40-60 lbs, repetitively. 3. Must be able to work in noisy and busy environments 4. Must be able to work with balances, fume hoods and other standard laboratory equipment. 5. Must be able to use wheelbarrow, pliers, wrenches and screwdrivers. 6. Must be able to reach low and high storage areas and test systems. 7. Must be able to wash glassware used by the laboratory 8. Must be able to dispose of radiolabeled and non-radiolabeled samples including but not limited to soils, plant parts, animal tissues, water and sediment as well as liquid (e.g., solvents, acids and bases) and paper waste 9. Be able to work in a freezer (-25 ºC) (-13 F) for up to 1 hour at a time 10. Be able to work with respirator. 11. Must be able to work in a greenhouse (32 ºC) (89.6 F) for up to 2 hours at a time. #m3 Ref : #558-Scientific
