Instructor Information :
Renée Rey, an award-winning artist from Sagamihara, Japan, based in Delray Beach, Florida.
Her artwork has been recognized nationally, with exhibitions and awards from notable museum and gallery professionals including Jade Dellinger, Bob Rauschenberg Gallery; Julie Sasse, Tucson Museum of Art; Erin Wright, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art; and Gisela Carbonell, Cornell Fine Arts Museum.
Rey received the 2024 Dina Baker Fund Grant from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County. Her work has been featured in galleries worldwide, with recent solo shows at Bailey Contemporary Arts, Tauni De Lessep Gallery, and Hammond Hall Gallery. Her group exhibitions include the Baker Museum, Flatiron Gallery, Art Brut Biennale, and more.
She held artist residencies at Bailey Contemporary Arts, School of Visual Arts, and Sun Peaks Center for Art and Sustainability. Her art collections include Bristol-Myers Squibb, First Albany, and Florida Gulf Coast University.
Rey served as the International Curator for the 2021 art exhibition in Uruguay. She is a dynamic lecturer, inspiring students across Florida and beyond. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Rey's diverse educational background in art, management, and Judaic studies enriches her teaching and artistic practice.
