JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including enforcing company policies and practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and consolidate employee files / reports needed for manpower planning and business continue initiatives.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate department or manager.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare periodic management reports related to human resources and other reports that may be required by management.Perform other assignments from time to time as directed by management.Perform administrative duties as necessary i.e., making copies, filing, etc.Gather and consolidates performance review ratings of assigned business operational units.Maintain employee records.JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High School graduate, or equivalent. Associate degree related to Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred, but not required.At least three (3) years of human resource management experience preferred.Skills and Essential Traits
