About The Position

Job Title : RN House Supervisor

Profession : Nursing

Shift : Evenings

Hours per Shift : 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM, every other weekend and holidays required.

Experience : Minimum of one (1) year long-term care experience and previous supervisory experience.

License : Client RN Licensure

Certifications : BLS Certification (through AHA or RQI only) required.

Must-Have : BLS Certification, NYS RN Licensure, Minimum of one (1) year LTC experience and previous supervisory experience.

Description :

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing - Long-Term Care, oversees the operation of nursing units.

Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the various nursing units, directly or through subordinates.

Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the Nursing Department's activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff during respective shifts.

Communicates with the Director of Nursing regarding identified and potential unit problems.

Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to resolve identified issues.

Contacts the Director of Nursing on off-shift hours for critical issues requiring resolution.

Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator during off-shift and weekends.
