Senior Environmental, Health, And Safety Manager

Emerson is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and elevate our EHS strategy across the Twin Cities Campus! This role is a key business partner responsible for driving a consistent and proactive safety culture across our Shakopee, Chanhassen, and Eden Prairie facilities. You lead the implementation, improvement, and integration of Health and Safety programs to ensure a safe work environment and full compliance with local regulations and Emerson's global EHS standards.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

  • Serve as the EHS business partner across the Twin Cities campus.
  • Define and execute campus-wide EHS strategy aligned with Emerson's global initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to embed health and safety into daily leadership routines and decision-making.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs across all sites.
  • Evaluate and ensure alignment of EHS policies with Emerson standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Advise leadership using a risk-based approach to shape EHS vision, purpose, and strategy.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and emerging EHS issues to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and deploy effective EHS training programs, measuring performance and compliance.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and dashboards for EHS effectiveness.
  • Coordinate onboarding and annual safety training for all employees.
  • Advise Emergency Response Teams and coordinate emergency services.
  • Lead the development and implementation of industrial hygiene programs.
  • Address workplace health concerns including air quality, lighting, respiratory protection, and hearing conservation.
  • Review and approve occupational investigations to ensure hazard-free workplaces.
  • Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals.

For This Role, You Will Need :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 10 years work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship will not be provided for this position)
  • Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart :

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, or 5+ years of demonstrated safety leadership in a similar setting.
  • Expertise in Environmental, Health, Safety laws and regulations.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong project management and team collaboration skills.

    Our compensation philosophy is simple : we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
