Montessori Cottage – Assistant Teacher Position

About the Role
This position is ideal for enthusiastic, reliable, organized, patient, and dedicated educators who enjoy working with children aged 18 months to 3 years. If you’re committed to creating a warm, collaborative, and developmentally supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Dedication, high energy, creativity, and flexibility
- Preferred but not required : AMI or AMS Montessori certification
- Familiarity with Montessori principles (a plus) and a willingness to learn
- 1–2 years of experience in a preschool or childcare setting (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy when interacting with children, families, and colleagues
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to help maintain a beautiful, organized, and engaging learning environment
- Understanding of lesson planning and early childhood curriculum (preferred)
- Commitment to nurturing relationships with children and families throughout the school year
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment with other teachers
- Preferred but not required : Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or another language
- Up-to-date immunizations and COVID-19 vaccination
- Successful completion of background clearance

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 12 : 30 PMStatus : Part-time (potential to transition to full-time in the future)Location : 675 Escuela Ave, Mountain View, CA 94040Responsibilities
Support lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with Montessori principlesAssist in classroom management and maintaining a calm, positive learning environmentFoster open communication with children, parents, and colleaguesProvide individualized attention to children, including those with unique learning needsEncourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through hands-on activitiesHelp maintain the classroom environment, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and orderWhy Join Us
